Silverswift Dive and snorkel from Cairns

Departing daily from Cairns, Silverswift is a luxury 29-metre catamaran designed with everything you need to experience an underwater world of colourful marine life in safety and comfort. This trip visits three different sites on The Outer Barrier Reef, allowing certified divers to experience up to 3 dives in a day. Introductory diving is also available onboard for those interested in trying a dive for the very first time.

Adventurous snorkellers can explore spectacular coral formations and underwater gardens awash with vibrantly coloured marine creatures.

Locations vary with the conditions, however, each site is chosen for visual impact, ecological diversity, and the challenge of discovery. Onboard, your crew will encourage you to relax and enjoy the comfort of Silverswift with its bar facilities, fresh water showers, air conditioning and a delicious lunch for hungry adventurers.

Morning and afternoon tea is provided and the spacious deck areas are ideal for sharing a cold drink and tales of your adventure.

Please Note: some medical conditions may prevent you diving and you will be required to complete a waiver and medical statement prior to the trip. If you have recently/continue to suffer from an illness or condition that may affect your dive fitness,  or are currently taking any prescription medication, you will need to consult a doctor for a 'fit to dive' medical certificate.

Learn to dive course

I learnt to scuba dive over 5 days and I had so much fun. My instructors were Flo and Molly and they made the whole learning experience enjoyable and took away the stress of learning. Flo was a great teacher because she was patient and explained everything very clearly and those are great qualities to have from an instructor when you can't speak underwater. She put lots of effort into teaching us so that we could explore the reef with our remaining air and she would always show us the hand signs for all the fish we saw.Being on the liveaboard for 3 days was worthwhile because I made some great friends on board and was especially close with the others learning to dive with me. They catered for my friends vegan diet and the crew were friendly and fun to have around. The only disappointing part was during the course when the guy from the store came to convince us to buy all the equipment for diving. They will allow you to try on the good quality mask and fins in the pool but expect you to buy it yourself before you go on the ship. I was expecting to have access to the decent equipment as part of the deal but instead they provide you with the lower quality mask and flippers which they advised us were much inferior.

100% would recommend!

I had an awesome time on my 3-day 2-night livaboard with ProDive. I am an advanced open water diver but had never done an unguided dive before this trip and was a little nervous. There was absolutely no need to be nervous, the crew and instructors on board were very thorough, gave detailed briefings and navigational directions, checked all equipment, were very focused on safety (always logging dive times and depths and with a dedicated lookout on board), answered all questions, and even offered a guide on the night dives. I met a lovely group of divers on board and got on very well with the entire crew. The dive sites were beautiful, food on board was delicious, and overall this was a fantastic experience. I will definitely be back for another trip!
